Study Groups

The mission of the University of Utah Philosophy Club is to provide students opportunities not normally found in the classroom along with resources that lead to academic success.  This site was built to achieve part of that mission by offering you, the student, website space to have virtual study groups at no charge.  This means that no e-mail and little coordination of schedules among members of the group will be neccessary for group projects and study sessions.  Check out the instructional video at the bottom of this page for an example.

If you would like to establish a free study group through the University of Utah Philosophy Club website you must:

  1. Collect the names and e-mail addresses of the individuals you would like to have in your group.
  2. Contact the administrator here and provide:
    • Your name.  You will be the main contact and are in charge of the page we create for you.
    • Class name and number, i.e., PHIL 3500 Ethics
    • Names and e-mail addresses of the inviduals in the group
    • Approximate dates of use
  3. You and everyone in your group will recieve an invitation from the site with terms of use and a link to this page to learn how to wiki.  After that, it is all up to you.

The terms of use include your agreement to maintain content that is scholarly or in line with University of Utah standards including plagiarism.  We reserve the right to deny access to our site and to revoke site privileges at any time.  Keep it academic, keep it reasonable, and you get to keep your study group page.  Enjoy.
